Brian's rosette
Burl and purple heart rosette in figured redwood soundboard.
Problem! While shaping this rosette, the fragile burl kept breaking apart. To solve this problem I coated the burl with several coats of epoxy. Placing the coated pieces on wax paper allowed the pieces to be moved (after the epoxy set) without adhering to the paper.
